Light Adjustable Lens™ from RxSight®

The First and Only Lens That Can Be Customized After Cataract Surgery

The revolutionary light adjustable lens from RXSight is changing cataract surgery by offering you more control, customization and confidence in your visual outcome.

In traditional cataract surgery your doctor chooses a lens prescription before your surgery without knowing exactly how your lens and your eye will work together after surgery. With the light adjustable lens your doctor now has the ability to change the prescription of your new lens after surgery through specialized ultraviolet or UV light treatments giving you the power to fully customize your vision.

This ability to change the shape and prescription of your lens AFTER surgery gives you the unique opportunity to test drive different visual outcomes to see what feels best.

By test driving your vision there is no guesswork and you’ll be able to experience and design your best visual outcome with complete confidence.

When you choose the light adjustable lens your surgery experience will be the same as if you’d selected a standard lens. The difference is that the customization process begins after your surgery and when your eye is healed.

After surgery you’ll need to wear special protective UV glasses at all times to protect your new lens and ensure your best possible visual outcome. You must wear them at all times while you’re awake until your light treatments are complete. You’ll receive between two and four total light treatments once your eye has healed from cataract eye surgery. Each treatment lasts about 90 seconds and during those treatments your doctor will reshape your lens to achieve the vision you desire. The number of the treatments you receive will depend on the amount of customization you desire – the amount of light used and your vision goals. 24 hours after your final light treatment you’ll be able to remove the UV glasses and enjoy your new custom vision.

The control and customized power of the light adjustable lens is helping patients design their perfect vision. It’s the first and only lens that offer this unique blend of control, customization and confidence.

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the RxSight technology for patients with pre-existing astigmatism of greater or equal to .75 diopters undergoing cataract surgery.

Ask your doctor to discuss the risks and benefits of the Light Adjustable Lens and if it’s the right lens for you.
