Mitchell A. Jackson. M.D. is a licensed board-certified eye surgeon (ophthalmologist) in cataract and refractive eye surgery procedures and comprehensive ophthalmology. He has acquired his medical degree at the reputable Chicago Medical School. He completed his medical internship at the Columbus Hospital, while his residency training was at University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr. Jackson is also the Medical director and founder of Jacksoneye. He has successfully performed over 32,000 LASIK surgeries and 20,000 cataract surgeries since 1993. Currently, he is a well respected educator, teaching other aspiring physicians through the courses being offered at the annual meetings of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves on the editorial boards of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today, Ophthalmology Management, Ocular Surgery News (with his own column The Premium Channel), and serves on the refractive cataract surgery subcommittee of the American Society and Cataract Refractive Society (ASCRS). Most recently, he was selected as the global medical director for Ace Vision Group, known for its ocular rejuvenation procedure undergoing clinical trials now.
